Her English teachers said she could write a novel. Forging her own path, Shannon Clash became a storyteller.

About Me

Emmy-nominated producer, Shannon Clash currently works as a communications specialists at the American Hospital Association based in Chicago where she develops cross-platform strategies to increase awareness of the Center for Health Innovation, amplify resources that transform health care, and creates visually appealing video and audio content to serve the needs of all AHA departments to implement creative approaches to execute outreach.

Previously, Clash was a field producer for NBC News based in the midwest where she travels regularly to cover breaking news, hard news and feature stories for the TODAY Show, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC and the networks digital platforms. While based in New York she covered the trial of Paul Manafort and contributed to coverage of the 2018 midterm elections. Earlier in her career she worked in the NBC News’ Washington bureau where she held a variety of roles including production assistant and researcher. Clash’s career began as a production assistant at WRC-TV the NBC owned station in Washington, DC. A native of Baltimore, she earned an undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland College Park and a master’s degree in strategic communications from the American University.
